Sister Rosetta / David Jibson

Lost first appeared in Alliteration, a magazine that has since disappeared. It was anthologised in Water Music. It’s now included in my collection, Protective Coloration, available at Amazon and at Kelsay Books.

This poem was featured at a fall meeting of the Poetry Society of Michigan. It was a response to a prompt from Elizabeth Kerlikowske, then president of the organization. “Write a poem giving someone advice. It could be an extended metaphor. And fun/clever/don’t even think of rhyming.”

Symphony Number Eleven originally appeared in the Peninsula Poets Contest Issue as a first place winning poem in the Music category.

Divorce appeared in the spring 2020 issue of Peninsula Poets, the bi-annual journal of the Poetry Society of Michigan.
