A Very Good Year / David Jibson

This poem was featured at the fall meeting of the Poetry Society of Michigan. It was a response to a prompt from Elizabeth Kerlikowske, the current president of the organization. “Write a poem giving someone advice. It could be an extended metaphor. And fun/clever/don’t even think of rhyming.”
Lost first appeared in Alliteration, a magazine that has since disappeared. It was anthologised in Water Music. It’s now included in my collection, Protective Coloration, available at Amazon and at Kelsay Books.
Divorce appeared in the spring 2020 issue of Peninsula Poets, the bi-annual journal of the Poetry Society of Michigan.
